"iberating an extra 30 horses means going to work on the fuel mixture. "We lean the mixture ahead of the spark," explains Brigden. "The turbo boost pressure has actually been reduced from 11.8 psi in the standard car to 10.3 psi in the 360." This has a negative impact on fuel consumption and exhaust emissions, but a positive effect on the power output. In combination with a software reflash, these changes create the FQ-360 engine."
seems like uk hks is way ahead if they can get similar hp as us tunners at not even half the boost.

yeah it seams like something is off...if boost is 11.8 in a normal gsr then 10.3 in the fq is probably not as much of a difference as we think it might be... there has to be something we arnt getting, because we know stock boost is at 21 psi, not 11.8
for some reason i think they actually RAISED the boost...because higher boost ALWAYS = more gas consumption, and more exhaust emissions right?.... idk i dont know anything about tuning, someone prove me wrong.

I don't have an evo x yet but it seems to me that you can gain more than the extra hp (as TTP engineering has shown through their chip) simply by adjusting the A/F ratio and timing. I don't find it that hard to believe that they got more power out of the car and were able to lower boost.
Capone X, I think you hit it right on the money.
but they don't measure in "bar" they measure in kPa, which we call "bar" lol.
Lowering the boost would increase the AFR even more, (richer)
and that would in turn make emissions worse, but you'd get better fuel economy.
(i think) just woke up. haha
