Has anyone toyed with this knock indicator light that can also be programmed as a shift light? I'm thinking the price isn't so bad and if it really works ok with the stock knock sensor it would be an extra tool to work with.
I found this discussion forum explaining it more:

PIN 25 : Knock Sensor (+)
PIN 42: Knock Sensor (-)
Depending on the voltage range I'm also wondering if you could reduce the sensitivity of the knock sensor with a potentiometer. Obviously you would have to verify that a tune was solid beforehand at full signal, but then you could potentially dial out some sensitivity of the knock sensor to reduce the severity of a false signal once it's dialed in.
