ecu flash or ecutek on my evo x
What GST said. The parameters a tune changes, can be adjusted by which ever tuning method you choose. The person tuning the car will effect the outcome more than what type of tune. If the tuner you plan to use has a prefrence, and they are a reputable X tuner, then use what they recommend/are comfortable with. When it comes to flash vs ecu tech, are you asking if you should get a custom tune vs mailing your ECU for a flash? If that is what you are asking, you will get more power out of a custom tune, but can't beat a mail-in for the money. It all comes down to money and goals!
If the tuner knows what they are doing, the outcome will be the same with both options you requested. The difference will come down to the cost. One needs a licensing fee, the other does not
. The one with a licensing fee comes with logging software, the other does not but if you have another way to log via pcmscan, etc you will have no problems.
I personally use Ecuflash. When the logging software evoscan is released to the public, I believe it will be the number one tuning software in Evo X tuning in my book.
