need help; how do you remove side mirror plastic cover
look like its attached with clips but being plastic how fragile are they

Taking off isnt all that bad. I did it with a screw driver and worked my way around and it came off. The PIA is putting the new one on. I broke off two tabs, but once its in place it still holds pretty good. I've had it on for about 4 months now and it hasnt come apart on me.

 

Did you have to replace your mirror? If so, where did you buy yours from?

 

i bought the heated mirrors from ebay. they where a quick install, but they didnt have the covers installed already. I also tried to put my gray ones on instead of the flat black, but they are not an exact match so i stuck with the flat black.

 

I bought my driver side mirror from PartsGeek.com and the quality sucks. I am going to replace it with one from Mitsubishi when I get my taxes back I guess. Right now I am riding around with one black and one silver
