its so hard to remove the shift knob

the CVT shift knob is hard to remove. i dont have a strong grip and my hand hurts from the banging i've been doing. does anyone have pics so at least i have an idea on how the inside looks like?

....U dont pull it... u unscrew it left....

ok i'll try again.
but i've read in some forums saying you pull it down. some use a flathead to pry it open.

I know what you mean. I can't figure out how to get the shift know off. I know you have to pull really hard on the silver part to get it down. then after that I can't get the shift knob off.
