A question about Evo X 2010 MR

Hello everyone, İm from Turkey. İ have been searching the forum since a couple of months and after the test drives searching etc, i have made my choice. Being a big fan of evos (thanks to Gran turismo ) , i have ordered a GG X MR from the official dealer in İstanbul. The said they havent got any MR's left, so that i have to wait untill June 2010.

So now im waiting excitedly...

İ know we have a lot of threads about this topic but i havent still found and answer to my question.

We know that between 2008,2009 models and the 2010 models we have some changes on the car. But i wonder if these changes will apply to the Europe spec Evos? İ asked it to the dealer, they dont know about it. Beacuse in Turkey havent already imported a 2010 model. All remaining models are 2009 specs sold as 2010 . So we havent seen a 2010 model yet. İ have read the changes.

- Color LCD information display
- Short antenna
- Covered cupholder
- Leather parking brake handle
- Chrome HVAC controls
- Black taillight housing
-2010 Sight/Sound/Spoiler package does not change except for upgrade of Rockford Fosgate to 710 Watts.

And also i have read that there will be some new programing on ECU ???

So do we have these changes on the 2010 MR Europe spec models?

Thank you

You definitely want the 2010 Model if you can afford it, not the 2008 or the 2009. The 2010 improves on the 2008 and 2009 models in every way. In addition, the ECU has been tweaked a little bit in the 2010 model, and as a result a stock 2010 makes a bit more power to the wheels than the 2008.

I probably didn't answer your question, but I just wanted to let you know that if you have a choice, go with the 2010.

Thank you very much !

Yes i definitely agree with you. I think 2010 is the best year for an Evo X.

Yesterday i talked to a guy from Mitsubishi, he told me that few days ago they have recieved an information containing their future plans about lancer and evo models. He told me that in the future(they dont know the exact date) most of the new features listed for the 2010 models will take place. But also they told me that this might be for 2011 models... While i have been searching the forum, i have seen that in Middle East, several drivers that have bought 2010 spec X, with 2010 changes on it.

He told me that the factory will start the building process of the car at the end of May. So i hope they apply 2010 specs to it...

I wonder if Mitsubishi and Subaru realise the marketing impact of their exposure in video games? My son has lusted after an STi since he was a kid, well before he could drive, purely because of his experience on his Nintendo, PS3, or whatever he makes all that bloody racket with. He just bought my 07 STi from me.

You can't get that sort of loyalty with TV ads!

Don't forget the car that gained the ultimate fame from video games... the Nissan GT-R!

Grats on the MR dood!

I remember the Evo from Gran Turismo, 12 years ago. Thats what originally sparked my interest in it.

Kinda getting off topic but: The most significant impact on Japanese Sport cars I would think was Initial D. All the cars featured saw huge increase in popularity, AE86, RX-7, LanEvo, GT-R etc.
