Sent a few emails to Rexpeed asking about what weave this dash kit is (1x1 or 2x2), because I wanted to match the AC control cover and SST shifter panel, never got a response back. Has anyone installed this and have mounted pics? They are not overlays, and are direct replacement. I was just curious on overall fitment and quality.

I think just about everything rexpeed does is 2x2, and that does look 2x2 to me.

 

yeah everything they do is that crappy 2x2. even their lips. i wish JDP made more parts.

 

it is 2x2 weave and a direct replacement, they use the oem panels and wrap/coat them so they fit oem. If you ask them they might be able to do 1x1 since they do have 1x1 weave available on other parts

 

evo-r.net sells those trim pieces as well and their kit includes the door trim.

 

Aside from matching, whats the difference? Not trying to be a dick, I just don't know.

 

Not 100% sure but the evor looks like the cheap stick on over the stock part, where the rexspeed is actually oem part wrapped.

 

If you're just looking for the carbon fiber "look"... just get the 3M carbon fiber wrap and do it yourself. It looks great and is hella easy to use.
