09 Lancer GT Dash removal
09 Lancer GT Dash removal
To catch you up...
My gf bought this car last October, and had the dealer install a JVC touch/nav unit. They of course contracted it out to a shop. They ended up running the nav and sat. radio antenna up in the dash and coming out at the top left corner under the windshield. The nav antenna works great, however the sat radio antenna cuts in and out very bad.
My gf gave up on it, since the dealership/audio shop is over 5hrs away. Now she wants her sat radio up and running and I said I can look into this for her.
I am well capable of doing this - pulling the antenna and re-routing it the the back and or out to the roof. However I would appreciate any hints or guidance from those who have done it.
My main concern, where do I start to get the dash out? Not necessarily the dash pad I think, the trim between the lefthand side - around cluster/steering wheel - and to headunit. What is the starting piece to this plastic puzzle.
Last thing I need is to jump into this unknown car and happen to break a clip or two because I didn't start by lifting the right panel first.
Thanks..
