Can't tuck my rims w/ enkei RS 6

my tires rub my fenders with my lancer barely lowered. Even if i got smaller tires, i still wouldn't be able to lower it that much. I don't want to completely slam it but i want it fairly low. the offset is 38 mm. So i thought well i just need some w/ an offset of maybe 36 or however low it goes, but then someone told me that you want a greater amount of offset to make sure the rims sit in farther. I'm not sure if anyone is understanding what i'm saying, but please explain to me what to do. Anyone else out there w/ the same prob? Thanks

the numerically lower the offset, the farther out the wheels will stick. Roll the fenders and rip out the platic liners...that should help.

The recommended offset for U.S. Lancers is 40-45 preferrebly in the 42-45 mm range. I also thought about getting the RS-6's but chose not to because of the offset being 38. You need to go to America Tire Discount's website. They can give you proper offset fitting for any vehicle.
