Thinking about changing my 09 Lancer GTS tires myself. Was wondering if anybody has done it on their own and if anyone has any tips or advice on what i would need and how to do this correctly?

 

You mean changing a tire as in installing new tires on a wheel???

 

Yeah pretty much removing my old stock tires from the wheels and mounting brand new tires.

 

Its way more trouble than its worth, just take em to shop with an actual tire mounting machine and have them do it. You risk damaging your wheels or the bead of the tire trying to do it with prybars and what not. Not a good idea.

Around my area I can get it done for around 15-20 bucks if I bring it in off the car. I ride motorcycle…………. A lot and I chance about 10+ tires a season and that adds up so Im looking at a weaver tire changer. There $1,200 with free shipping.
