i might consider seriously buying one once i am done paying the evo, cause that would really balance out my gas econ :) and keep it mitsu.

Ugly, but less ugly than most electric vehicles. I'm not sure why they feel we can't keep a traditional shape and make a hybrid/all electric vehicle?

I got to check one out at MOD a year or two ago. Cool little car... I wish they had it here sooner to compete with the leaf.

Yea def looks like ass. I'll stay hybird/electric car free until the gov makes me own one.

Air conditioning + moar power than anything else on the course = this would make the greatest golf cart ever.

i actually sat in one last night at the miami international auto show... the interior had little to no leg room, and you only only drive up to 62 miles before recharging?? ahhhhh i dont think so. i think toyota still has the hybrid war on lock for the time being.

its ashame that this car was mitsu's star attraction at this show, it looks like i'll be keeping the evo a little bit longer now...

It still uses $50 of electricity every month.

Even with a full charge doesn't it only have a 62 mile range? That would be good I guess for a daily driver during the week but not very usefull if you had a long commute or a commute with traffic. I would venture to say that in my area 50-60% of people commute more than 62 miles a day, not to mention the traffic/highway or whatever else may arise.

One more rant- I love how they can make them as a RWD set-up but won't change that on the Lancer's...

Most likely, the Mitsubishi i puts your world within range. For most people, a day in the car involves an office commute and an errand or two—say, a trip to the dry cleaners and a stop at the bank. The typical round trip for the majority of drivers is under 62 miles and easily accomplished with a fully charged battery.

Obviously, the Mitsubishi i is not designed for long road trips. But for the environmentally conscious who want to drive as many green miles as possible on shorter trips, errands and commutes, it just might be the ideal solution.

It's actually more like 112 miles per charge and a 62 mile range. I'm taking that this means you can't drive further than 62 miles away from your home, but you can drive around 112 miles total per charge. I think the EPA makes them state that so you don't think you can drive 112 miles away from your charging station/home/120V outlet.
