Can you E-brake turn?
So this car has no clutch you can manually operate right?
I was wondering if you can do e-brake turn in the car Gymkhana style without braking the car.
Does it disconnect the clutch and tires when you yank on the E-brake and then engage the clutch automatically when you let the E-brake off?
Or will I burn out my clutch like a normal 4WD stick car would if I yanked on the E-brake without putting the clutch in?
The new WRC cars are sequential shifter with no real clutch to operate manually at race speedst, so what happens when they pull on the E-brake?

Will disconnect the ACD. You will find a wire connection on the e-brake which is signals to the computer to disenge the ACD so the rear will independent from the front wheels. Also turns your E brake light on on the dash . LOL
The ebrake is for rotate the car not to brake , so you still do braking before you apply the e-brake for sharp turn in racing.

Yes I understand that the E-brake is for rotation and I will need to use normal brake to control the speed before rotation. My question was does it disconnect the clutch or are you saying discconectin the ACD is the same thing as disconnecting the clutch?(I just want to be sure) So if that is the case technically I will not break anything even if I E-brake turn on high gripping asphalt in the dry? Thank you for the reply.

ACD is an electronically controllod diff so it is unlocked by ACD ECU. Also many other ECU for a mid dif like motec, ralliart etc. and they all has this feture,
basically preventing damage on the drive train. Besides many other option you can do with them.

yep WRC car also disconnect the mid dif.
