The oem fluid is green, and you will need between 5 and 8 liters. It is best to measure the fluid coming out, and refill with the same amount. There is no dipstick or any other built in measurement tool.

It's best to put on one of the trick SSP SST pans so you have a proper dipstick for checking the fluid!

I drained my cooler as well and seemed to get somewhere around 7.5 quarts out so I put something like that back in.

Most of the time if you ONLY remove the 3 drain plugs on the bottom of the case you should get around 5.5 - 6.5 liters. If you then remove the oem filter housing (black plastic cylinder pictured below) and also drain the oem trans cooler, and lines you'll get (in total) around 7.0-7.5 liters of fluid out. I would suggest to warm the transmission up before you drain the fluid, and also as jkennedy stated you'll want to measure the fluid that you take out.....and put the same amount back in.

Thks for the info, is it necessary to drain the lines + cooler? How about filling the fluid to the top of the filler hole? Will that work? Thks again.

If you fill the tranny to the top of the hole with fluid you will have seriously ovderfilled the tranny. It would be like filling your engine with oil until it started coming out the oil fill hole.
