MAP Stainless Steel O2 Eliminator Downpipe (Evo 8/9) Dent Normal?

Hi, I just bought a MAP O2 Dump DP how seems to have a dent near the 02 sensor bung is that normal, just checking, did a test check on the car and seems to have plenty of clearance just really do not why the dent is there...Thanks

I'm gonna go ahead and say it is something in their process of fabricating these pieces because I just got mine a few days ago and I have the EXACT same dent in the same place as yours. Maybe someone else can chime in as to the reason behind it. I do industrial fabrication and I can't figure out a reason that it's necessary.

It is clearanced to allow easier installation of the rear stud/nut, earlier versions did not have this but after several complaints about install difficulty this was the solution.
