New Tire Warmer / Transport Cases

I got some new Blackwatch Racing insulated tire warmers / cases for use during colder events and to get rid of the trash bags I was using to transport the wheels.

Nice features are the built in handles to pull them out of the backseat, rubber feet to keep them rolling away, and the zip up case design to preserve the rubber from ozone and UV during storage.

I put those on my Christmas list, but no one came through for me

I had made an attept to order some much cheaper (and not nearly as nice) bags from Ikea, but they have a wierd idea of how to shop online, so that never happened...

Hi Chris,

I got mine directly from Blackwatch Racing but they're not selling on-line 'till next month. Chasecam.com & soloperformance.com have them. Built durable and should last a long time, keeps the interior clean too.

No active warming, only passive is allowed by SCCA for solo2. The cases use pizza delivery bag technology to retain heat, the common home-made mylar bubble warmers only reflect heat. I was also told on sunny days that the matte black construction also allows them to soak up heat, or to put them in a closed car before hand to add heat to cold tires.

Price is about $56ea for up to stock size tires, a few $ more for larger tires.

Wheels are 17x9 35mm offset, tires are 275/40 or 245/45 - 17. No spacers.
