Rallysport, Inc. gets new ownership

Alexandria, VA – After being run by Andy Wos and Eileen Deehan since its inception, Rallysport, Inc. changed hands on January 31st, 2002. The company has moved to its new temporary home in Alexandria, VA and will eventually move to Hyattsville, MD where a showroom is being built.

Rallysport has always been a premier place for rally enthusiasts to purchase Rally videos and other memorabilia and it will continue to serve its customers like before. It has been our goal to offer the best possible service to all of our loyal customers. Part of this entails locating those unique, hard-to-find products, acting as an informal resource center for motorsport fans, always taking the time to listen to our customers and finally, helping to promote and market the sport of Rallying in North America and the world.

The previous owners, Andy Wos and Eileen Deehan made the decision to sell the company after they realized that their new venture, KoolArt USA (www.koolartusa.com), was taking too much of their time and their service to Rallysport was being effected by it. They were being unable to maintain the service level commitments that they wanted to give their RallySport customers.

Sumit Panjabi (Alexandria, VA) and Nui Srisook (Silver Spring, MD Spring) are the new owners of RallySport. They teamed for the first time in 2000 Maine Pro Rally and since then have been a driver – codriver team in the SCCA ProRally and Club Rally series. In 2001, Sumit won the North East Gr5 Co-driver Championship, while Nui came in second. Sumit is also the Performance Rally Chairman for the Washington DC Region and was awarded the prestigious MVP “Most Valuable Player” by the Region. Nui is the owner of Nui Motorsport and Accessories in Hyattsville, MD and has been rallying for over 10 years.

“We are very excited to have this opportunity to own RallySport, and are thankful to Andy and Eileen for trusting us to do a great job in expanding RallySport and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction” said Sumit Panjabi. He also said, “Over the next couple of months, we will focus on adding new items on the website, redevelop the catalog and introduce some promotions”.

we're hoping to setup displays at the local rallycrosses. Are you coming to the next event.
