Did you decide not to come? I didn't see you and wasn't sure whether you had an issue with the tow or just decided it was too far to go.

Yeah I wasn't able to make it...had to take care of a customer car and send out one of our project cars for some goodies. We just couldn't justify the fuel costs and time to send my car out there. Maybe next year!!!

I haven't heard any results yet...how did everyone do?

robbi ( i believe) had a shunt in the car, as did a few others... a scion tc, bmw, and a few others..

even if our car was ready, I would have not entered this event... there is NOT enough run off on the Shan. circuit. Hopefully next year we will be on the big track.

Hope the Robbispec car is ok, it looked vey well composed compared to all of the other evo's

I would disagree on the run-off room at Shenandoah as compared to other local tracks like Summit Main and VIR. There is a lot more runoff at those bigger tracks, but you are also going a lot faster and its more difficult to recover when things go wrong at 120 mph versus at 75 mph. Shenandoah is terrible track for W2W, but for time attack it's perfect. It also is a great place to give a more level playing field to those who don't have a zillion HP (i.e., cars built on a limited budget).

As far as your last comment about composure, I don't know where to start. "Ouch" I guess...

How many of the offs were at the carousel? I think it would be a good idea to run the chicane at this event.

Topspeed took the U-AWD win. Not sure who won modified.

Elterman in the Takata STi won Modified with a 1:33.x. Great pickup compared to his time last year.

Running a chicane was considered but ultimately the idea was dismissed after much discussion. Check out the thread on timeattackforums.com.

well, we are all entitled to our opinions, and I've been to quite a few tracks in my day..

regardless....

I wasnt able to watch every car, but a few of the evo's looked horribly dampened and sprung....

------------------------------

I saw two cars wad it hard in the bowl, and one bad coming off of the long sweeper...

I also think the chicane should be run.... that would limit the playing field even more...

so easy to tell on that track. quite a few bumps that just lead to certain cars pitching and bouncing like poo. fun to see some cars bounce around after the bump right before the downhill right hander that the bridge overlooks. then cars like the topspeed impreza just hit and carry on without missing a beat.

was gonna say hello chad but you were swamped by people at the time.

EVO8LTW, i don't think he meant you.....i was watching your car and it looked good to me.

Well, of course, since I bought my coilovers from you!

I took Chad's comment personally because he initially referred to "all of the other evos" (other than Robi's).

The car is banged up, but the damage is almost all cosmetic. The car needs new doors, front fender, front bumper, front lip, hood, windshield, rear bumper, trunk, (spoiler made it), rear quarter panel needs to be sent to the bodyshop to be fixed, core support is slightly bent, also needs a new dash, steering wheel, oil cooler, undertray, and we're checking the radiator and intercooler tomorrow to see if there are any leaks. There may also be a few surprises that we didnt catch. Fortunately the motor and suspension are untouched. Also the wheels are scratched up a bit but there is no structural damage to them. Its a shame too, the car was running great and we were really thinking we were going to pick up alot of time during that run. Sorry I didnt get to meet you chad, I met one of your other guys though

it should be back up and ready for the next event. We still took 3rd street and 2nd modified. Its moving very well, but we still have alot of work to do on the car to get it running where we would like it to be.
