Nasa Tt
Ok I searched, and even after I got through the "Vegas Evo's, Americas drunkest Evo's, Utah Evo's", and the "Orlando Evo's" threads that seem to pop up no matter what you search for, I couldn't find what I'm looking for.
I just picked up a 10. Being stock, I'm thinking of modding it for NASA TT rules, so I would like just a brief run-down on what NASA classes the consensus thinks the 10 is most competitive in, and the basic allowable mods. I'm figuring whatever they have for a "street" class, or the next one up. I don't want to do a whole lot to it, as I'm building a race car from an Evo 8 shell that'll get enough of my money.
That, and the 10 is leased
TIA

Read the thread by BlackTrack talking about his recent TT-A national championship. Until this year and his car, no Evo was remotely competitive in TT-A nationally. There is new hope, but it may only be with the X. His would surely be the model to follow.
You leased it??? Whoa, leasing an Evo is crazy to begin with, but then trying to race it in TT is probably a very poor decision.

Thanks for the thread tip. I'll check it out
Kevin, you asked me a few times about this but maybe you forgot. Dont do anything to your car yet. You should wait for the new rules to come out first. A new set of rules comes out every year before the season begins.
Btw, a track day is sorta different from NASA TT. In TT you're running a transponsder so it qualifies as a 'Timed Event'. Just an FYI for your insurance and such.

+1. And since the X was a first year car last year they just slotted it equal to the IX with a different base weight. This would be the year they could make some changes, so I'd wait.

Bueller- I've got serious CRS, but did think I PM'd back and forth about it with you, but then couldn't find the PM's, so figured I was wrong.
There's gotta be a baseline of mods that you can do in any class, and I would like to get my suspension set up sooner rather than later, and wheels. I'm not gonna do the $7k Motons this time around. I'd rather pound nails into the wall with my forehead, and I couldn't afford it if I wanted to. I figure I'll prolly go with KW's, a rear sway, camber plates if they don't come with the CO's, and then call it a day until I get more info on class structure.
That sound like a decent plan to you? Would you mind hitting me up when you get more info?
I'll PM you my contact info. Thanx
