A Victory at Thunderhill
Just wanted to Congratulate our shop foreman Lars Wolfe, who scored a class victory this past weekend in the WERC 6 Hours of Thunderhill. He wasn't driving a Mitsu, but we don't hold it against him.
Here is the official press release:
WORKS Volkswagen Victorious at Thunderhill
Lars Wolfe Pilots the WORKS Volkswagen to a class win in the NASA Western Endurance Racing Championship 6 Hours of Thunderhill.
Willows, California – December 6, 2008 – While the 25 Hours of Thunderhill was under way, several competitors were racing on the same track in the NASA WERC 6 Hours of Thunderhill event. Driving a 2000 VW Jetta 4Motion in the E1 Class, WORKS‘ own Lars Wolfe managed to keep the hammer down for the entire stint and pull out a class victory. The strong finish was even more impressive in light of the fact that the Jetta is a Rally car that was converted to tarmac spec for this event. The combination of reliable performance and heads up driving in difficult conditions were paramount in this win for the WORKS team. Wolfe ran a full season for 2008 and now stands in second place after the season finale at Thunderhill.

And congrats to Works - even if it's a VW.
