BSP.

If there's no competition in BSP, then SM.

Technically? The clutch puts you into BSP.

Edit to add: if this is your first time out, I'd run in a Novice or Street Tire class so that you won't be competing against guys on slicks.

The event organizers will put you into the correct class when you show up.

I agree, running a street tire class will make you more competitive (even if its just for run).

interesting, when using the classing sheet it doesn't mention the clutch at all.

http://www.ncrscca.com/auto-X%20DIY-classing.htm

according to this the op should be in AS. but to be completely honest with you i have never read the rule book completely so it might be BSP. do you know of a place that has a better classing sheet, other than reading the whole rule book that is? thanks.

to the OP, sorry about that i hate spreading bad infomation.

EDIT: i just did a search of the rule book and BSP is correct for an upgraded clutch. sorry about that.

You cannot run in AS with a clutch... sorry. Also, AS runs slicks. The rule book doesn't go through mentioning everything you cannot modify, it mentions what you CAN modify.

It's really not that tough to get through. There's only a few things you can change/add in stock:

Tires
Brake pads
Front sway bar & associated hardware
Shocks
Front strut tower bar
Wheels get a +-1/4" offset allowance, must be stock width & diameter
Cat-back exhaust
0.020 overbore
Bolt-in roll cage or weld-in roll bar

That's about it. There are various allowances for safety items and comfort and convenience items, but as far as performance, if its not on that list, you can't do it.
