My first track day with X

My first track day with the new Evo X, it was my best track day yet. I had the 2004 gsr Evo 8, that is a great car and missed but the new X is alot more fun at the raceway. I ran at Buttonwillow raceway #13 cw. It is pure addiction let me tell you. The car tends not to understeer like the 8 did, it really rotates the *** end around like a rear drive car, but if you lose it say at 100mph let there be no worry S-AWD is there to help. I love being able to run down 911 turbos, Ford-GTs, M3s, STIs, Vettes, and pretty much what ever else is in the way.

KW V3 coilovers Robi-Spec models, Prodrive GC-010G Wheels, Ultimate Racing TBE, Works air filter, HB Speed Tune, 335 AWHP and 350 Ft Lbs. Tq.

Nice setup! What kind of wheels and exhaust do you have?

I love the stig-looking helmet!

I'm jealous. I've been dying to take my car out, but I am a chicken poop. Afraid I'm going to break something. Guess I should just man up.

Your car will be fine, this is what the Evo is made for. The race track is like its home.

Add me to the list of people that wishes could take their X to the track! Not afraid, but don't have the money to spend on tires after each day.

How you like the coilovers OP? Been hearing a lot of good things about them. Nice car!

I love the KWs streets, not to harsh for city driving. Robi Spec sets them up real nice. You can get a few track days with the same tires if you drive real smooth. I still have about 6/10 left on mine. (factory advans) they stick real good lap after lap unlike the falken 615s, they feel good for 1 or 2 laps then you loose alot of grip.

I abused my EVO for 2 days on the track!
Let me tell you the car was feel like brand new the day after!
When the brake hit up it will be like solid metal
After second day my HKS head muffler turns to gold

Getting the X on the track is definitely a lot of fun. Last time I was out I was trading spots back and forth with a Lotus. Not too bad for a 4-door sedan...

The hot weather had no effect on my car it was about 92 for the high. And I shift @ 8K rpm my new redline. I put some redline waterwetter in the cooling system hell it's only 10 bucks, and it works.
