Don't think Ken Block had any choice in switching manufacturers considering only Ford and Citroen have factory teams in WRC.
Good luck to him in Germany. It definitely won't be easy even finishing this rally.
I haven't been keeping up with WRC lately but if I remember correctly they have all kinds of concrete blocks that were designed to stop tanks in the rally stages. Hitting one of those means instant dnf.

One of my favorite Ken Block WRC moments was in Mexico they did a shot of his feet and you saw him ghost clutching with his left foot

Yea, this in reference to switching to the Fiesta.

OK...somebody school me...please!

Was that a Focus or a Fiesta? It looked like a Fiesta, but I thought Block was going to be racing a WRC Focus. Is it FWD? I assume so.

What kind of tranny does it have? It was shifting faster that I can blink!!!

That car is a Ford Fiesta, 100% custom. Engine is a Duratec 2.0 longitudunally mounted, custom trans, transfer case, and AWD. Look it up in the new D-Sport. That thing is an all out race car. Running 60 psi on a Garrett TR3076R. Things sick, making 650 hp.

Wrong!

He's running the Fiesta in the WRC sir... As a matter of fact he's not the only one.

Thanks! I will try to find more info to satisfy my inane curiosity!

However, it was my understanding of the homologation rules that a WRC car had to remain fairly true to the production car: same engine size, same basic drive train, etc. Since the Fiesta comes with a 1.6L and FWD only I presumed it would have to remain as such. Has the WRC dumped the homologation rules entirely?

Could Chevy simply put a Cobalt body on a Duramax chassis and run it in the WRC?
