My box isn't crazy sealed it's pretty much the same as yours and I use a 3" tube from the lower bumper inlet. I wanted to do a test where I blocked of the brake ducts, which share the same inlet on the drivers side. Well when I taped off the inlet The car would not run under any throttle, it would just sputter and fall on it's face. I thought that because I didn't really seal it off the airbox could scavenge air from the seams and still get what it needed. That was wrong the box will need a good supply inlet that can support the horsepowers you will make.
good idead

every car i had , it had an air feeding hose, even a stock box
just "behind" the license plate that silver inlet is the air feeding hose.

I think trying to find away to run a hose through the bumper will be damn near impossible (so much crap going on up there). My transmission fluid pump and lines take up valuable space in the front. I think I am gonna have to modify the headlight.

You might go the Sierra Sierra route and just make the entire head light a large duct. Or you can make a feed under the lip of the hood like the stock airbox uses.

Sweet build, you have obviously invested a lot of time and effort and it shows. The build/parts are well thought out, it should be an absolute beast on the track. Thanks for taking the time to do this write up.

The air intake box looks good. If you don't have room to snake a hose from behind the bumper area to for an air feed, another option is to have your friend redesign the top cover to accept the stock intake snorkle. When I designed my intake box I kept the stock snorkle and also added a hose from the front bumper to the air filter. Here are a couple of links to pictures:

Here is a link to the NACA Duct that I mounted behind the front bumper air opening to attach the hose to:

If you do decide to look into modifying the headlight for a duct send me a PM and I will give you a phone number for a guy that has done it before and might be willing to do it again.

Yeah E-85. I hope to make some decent numbers I am afraid I am going to run out of fuel pump on the high boost runs. I have a rewire kit and a FPR in the mail but its not gonna get here in time.

What FP are you running now? You should be good up to about 430-440whp (Mustang Dyno) w/ a single Walbro, but anything more and you'll be running out. Good to see you making progress! I just took a few steps back last week at Laguna Seca. Blew up my 4 month old 2.3 stroker.
