I just moved from VA back to southern FL. Silverado towed 1000 miles nicely. Took the steep grades slowly as that's really all it struggled with.

How are you guys strapping down the car from the rear? I bought 4 of these t-hooks, but on the drivers side rear the frame holes are crowded by the brake lines. I can use axle straps around the rear lower arms, but there is no way to cross them due to the exhaust on the passenger side hanging down too low. So, my plan is to use the t-hooks in the front crossed and the axle straps in the rear around the lower control arms straight back to the tie down points. Unless there is a way to use the 3rd and 4th t-hooks with chain loops that I bought for the rear, they will be up for sale...

I've never had an issue not crossing straps. I just wrap the strap around the lower control arm in board of the shock. The d-rings on my trailer are located so that the straps do have a slight angle. With 4 straps on the car, even if they are perfectly straight, it's not going to move side-to-side if they are all properly tight as ****.

I use T hooks all around. Assume you're talking about driver side in the rear by where the trailing arm mounts up? If so yeah the lines are sorta there but it does not interfere. T Hooks slip in then face backwards to they dont hit. Personally I have straps go straight in the front and I cross the rears. Lots of arguments on cross vs dont cross hook to body hook to wheels etc etc.

yeah i used T hooks in all four corners. you can bend the rear driver side brake line out of the way. a little bend wont hurt it. cross the straps if the angle is not too much.

I have about 30k miles of towing my Evo with a strap going over the North/South bar at the front motor mount, and over the rear subframe. Though I my try the chassis hooks since that does seem easier.

I attempted to use the rear hooks but they are too far "up" to crawl up there when using an enclosed so I'm still using the rear subframe with crossed straps. My exhaust is just clear enough. Crossed hooks in front.

Soft tie straps around the wheels. If you hold the tires in place the car can't move anywhere so no need to cross straps or anything. Plus it means I don't have to remove any aero 🙂

Car is sitting outside for the next week. Just trying to keep any potential precipitation out of the bay while it does.
