I thought that maybe Marshall was intending to turn Christine loose in SM.

less weight. oh and new class magnets.

power is very low on the priority list. the biggest weakness of an ASP evo is it's mid corner speed...or lack there of.

should have mentioned that i race hillclimbs as well so i keep going to the power adders, but yes for purely autox light weight is the next step.

been reluctant to drop AC (for resale value) but i'm thinking getting that weight off of the front of the car is key.

Honestly, I don't think you need more power between ASP and SM if you're running e85. I already shared my thoughts on that with you via pm though, lol.

New Feb Fastrack out!

http://www.scca.com/about/?cid=44415

Seems like E85 may not be allowed in ST unless the car was designed to utilize it from the manufacturer.

What weight are people getting down to in ASP?

In SM I'm sticking with 285s, 315s are just more car width to deal with. Though 275s if its possible to get into the 26xx range would be exciting though not sure thats possible within the rules.

Cy Lee said his car was ~2900, we're still trying to get there. I don't thnk 26xx is doable in SM without some drastic engine changes (like an aluminum block).

I would happily deal with the extra width of 315's if i could.

Agree and did

There is extra weight associated with some SM mods, too. Wider wheels and tires, big azz wing on the back, larger front splitter, and there's not a whole lot more that can be done to reduce weight. OEM hood is pretty light. Trunk could be done... By my calcs, I think my theoretical (money no object) min weight is around 2850 based on my last weigh in. Maybe a little less.

I think with a bit of effort 27xx is possible but certainly not cheap or easy.

Ive done extensive research and considering Ive only taken into account larger items, I'm certain 27xx is possible. I know with a wing and splitter I can get into the low-mid 2800lb range for under $2000.
