Evo 9 Super Production Rally Car - Proper Build

Thought i'd make a thread with some pictures of a Rally car I am having built. I plan to race it in Rally, but also will do hillclimbs and take it to the track.

All the work is being done by RKT Motors, truly a top notch shop that does top notch work with great attention to detail. This is the same shop that did and still does work on Rob's Evo X Rally car (Robevo RS).

On to the pics.

Day she was picked up.

Starting to strip her down.

Full cleaning and prep before seamwelding.

Decided to keep exterior black but paint interior and engine bay Silver Grey Metallic - the color of the BMW M3 CSL and in memory of my old M3.

Now that the shell is prepped, she is starting to be put back together. Random pics from the assembly.

Completely custom built exhaust

And she runs! This is how she sits today. Some assembly still required!

And this is a hint of what's yet to come....

Couple more random shots.

Engine bay

ACD relocation into passenger footwell. Passenger seat will be set far back enough that it wont get in the way.

Trunk area.

Thanks Rob! Car does look great. Such a clean build.

I am mulling over the Pectel. Need to have a proper ECU, and need Gabor to come and tune it!

I saw you are doing Sand Blast - awesome! No plans for me to go anywhere yet. Will see if time allows to go down there with you.
