I wish I were still using my RB IX hats. I can get rings that come with hardware for a very decent price.

You can get grade 10.9 hardware just about anywhere.

I do believe that. But, I think these nuts have some kind of locking built in. Looks like the same type of crashed on one side like exhaust manifold nuts. I might be wrong here, but that is how it looks like to me!

Yeah, can also find nuts like that anywhere that sells quality hardware. Obviously won't find stuff like that a place like Ace Hardware.

I wouldn't use that as an example. Grade 5 SAE hardware is nowhere near the strength I would consider for holding my brakes together.

You are absolutely right,.. I am not too familiar with your bolt grading. I use 10.9 or 12.9 and above on the car.

I just ahd a look at the Brembo hardware I got and they too use self locking nuts.. small 12 point ones..

SAE Grade 5 is close to Metric 8.8, "medium strength"
SAE Grade 8 is close to metric 10.9, "high strength"

Metric 12.9 exceeds SAE Grade 8. Probably close to F911 it aircraft hardware.

I just wanted to confirm this information is for the Evo X MR front rotors.

Yes! More appropriate wording would be for EVO X two piece rotors (since SE model also comes with them, aside from the MR).

I just got a set myself a month or so ago and price went up a bit, but it is still OK.

I just got a quote just south of two bills per which I feel is very reasonable. Thank you for this information and wanted to ask about hardware you are currently running and if you could link me to them. I tried a few in this thread but only one was still active. If not no worries.

I think I did order one set from one of the brake places (not sure which one was it), but they are pretty expensive for such a little things. After that set, I have reused old ones by choosing the best looking ones that still lock. I do check on those when I change the tires and have yet to see one loosen up. I did see one or two springs (squarely shiny part that bolt goes through) break on one end though. Aside from that, things seem to be fine. But, in order to be safe you should follow the right install procedures and not trust some wacko like me on internet.

I just checked RB's site and can't seem to find the same hardware options as they used to have. Maybe my phone is acting up.

If so, that is MUCH cheaper than buying the McLaren sets listed for Camaro/Corvette.
