Kinda OT: If you're editing the video with http://www.dashware.net, do you have a nice Evo 8/9 dash .xml?
Nah it's RaceTechnology's software. Since it's UK based and there's a ton of UK evo's there's gotta be some out there.

I have a local fab guy doing this to mine. He's done many, just not on an Evo. Would anyone be interested in not having to ship a pan to NZ?

I can't say what I'm being charged, since it's R&D to set up the software. It should be done in a week or two (I'm sending pictures and specs as i type this) and he'll have a price then. Maybe i can him to commit to an amount sooner LOL. Can i post pricing here? He's a fab guy that does mostly fed gov't work (Runs a performance shop on the side, for fun), so he won't have any interest in being a vendor here. Maybe PM will be better?

I have TONS of pictures of his work and can vouch for him personally. His metal work is some of the best I've seen, especially his exhausts and roll cages.

I'm super stoked and can't wait to see this thing done.

If anyone else is interested, let me know. I'm sure the more interest from us, the more interest from him LOL.

For anyone interested:

I found a California supplier for oil pans. The closest comparison would be the RaceFab pans. They will have the same features with exception of moving the oil pick up, the international shipping, wait, and cost LOL. They are not vendors, so i won't post pricing, options, etc. Just letting everyone know. PM me if you are interested.

0$. I mentioned in the beginning you didn't "need" to ship "your" pan. The option to buy another pan exists wither it's 8 or 9 (especially if you go AN for the drain). It's just like doing an engine, the core has to come from somewhere, it makes far more sense to let them worry about that in my opinion. But if you do score another option with the same amount of detail, please start a new thread for it so as not to cross the info and get lost in many pages.

Worth noting - RaceFab isn't a vendor here either I imagine, so they rely on guys like us to do the work for them in exchange for great products and support.

Also worth noting - remember the whole purpose for this design is to use OEM pans due to other designs always, always leaking, so be sure on that too.

Gotcha. The shipping quote I got was crazy. I think buying the pan from them is cheaper.

It varies depending on the pan used (yours/theirs/used/new) and options you add, then where you are for shipping. Email him at rob@racefab.co.nz to inquire, he's usually pretty good at getting back. He recommends you get the cosworth or tomei windage tray as well. I also got new bolts while I was at it.
