I'm still an SM noob. Did my first event on 275 A7's and even in sub 50 degree weather they are awesome. I always used to run Yoko Advan AD048's as a street/track tire. Going to take a while to adjust to the Rcomps. Finally placed in the top ten with the big boys at my local club.
Theoretically, if money weren't an issue, what would be the best motor setup for SM. Stock turbo, stroker, cams, etc.?

Always a contention of debate. 2.0 to rev high vs 2.4l for more torque. I have a 2.3l cause I run a lot of small tight lots but it's definitely not the motor to have for Nebraska. I need to pair it with 4.31:1 gears to hit a little over 70 in 2nd but that's running it out to 8k which will make it short lived.
Next motor I built will probably be a 2.4l based 2.2LR to handle higher revs.

Yeah I have an X GSR 5 speed. Hitting 8k rpm with stock tire height and gearing should let me hit just over 65mph in 2nd. I run a course that could occasionally see 60-70mph at most.
For the 4B11 a 94mm crank gives you 2.2L and about a 1.53 rod/stroke ratio so I think 8k is a reasonable limit.
Would something like that work best with a stock turbo? Would still only be able to hit in the mid 300's in terms of whp, but spool should be nearly instantaneous.
