Picked up another driver for 2018 last week (my friend Kat is also driving this car again for 2018) - 2016 H Street champ Rob Luis is hopping in the car . Definitely excited to have someone of his caliber to push me at every event, not to mention what he brings to the table as an instructor. Hoping for a successful 2018 season, can't wait to get started

Multiple drivers for a single car on a single course ?

Are you allowed to make changes for every different driver, how does it work can you please elaborate a bit?

Yes, multiple drivers in a single car on a single course. We can make changes in between runs though doing 3 drivers/1 car in a single run group means we'll be trying to hurry and swap drivers/numbers/check pressures/cool tires + car, etc. We'll rotate through first runs for each driver and repeat for the run group. If allowed, we might do it where each driver takes their first 2 runs in a row, would make it easier on the changeover.

Scrubbed in a fresh set of Bridgestones at Crows Landing this past Sunday with my co-drivers; it was our first time doing 3 drivers in 1 group, I think we handled it fairly well despite very little downtime between runs. Great course design by Charlie Davis, really mixed high speeds with some more technical elements - definitely rewarded looking ahead. Car was noticeably more pushy than it had been on the Nexens, will be looking to get some more rotation out of the rear. We have 2 more event weekends before the Fontana Pro, hoping to make a class there

Yeah, crows is awesome except bring lots of tire because it likes to eat them. I drive down once a year for tour or pro, which will be another pro for me this year.

It definitely felt better last October when the car was still on Nexens and I had just maxed out the rear bar stiffness. Other than going back to RE71Rs, I swapped to 600/900 springs in November - it definitely didn't feel as good out of the box but it definitely rides better than the 700/1000 combo did. Another plus is that the car has pretty much stopped hopping at Crows on the softer rates, now to get it to rotate more

Yep, the grip at Crows comes with a price - high tire wear. See you in April for the Pro

Hard to say, we were scrubbing them in so I doubt we were seeing the peak performance of the tires and I wouldn't trust the G readings that Solostorm was giving me anyhow

I never had a chance to do a back-to-back between RE71Rs and SUR4Gs but in comparison to my usual benchmarks, they are pretty close despite having different characteristics IMO.

Had a fun and productive weekend at Crows Landing, Saturday was a TnT and we got to validate some setup changes as well as scuff in a fresh set of tires for the Fontana Pro Solo in 2 weeks. Car felt great at the TnT, even when it was damp - temperatures were probably around 55 degrees or less, easily the best the car has felt this year. The previous event didn't have any slaloms or offsets, so this was a great opportunity to test the car in those types of elements.

On Sunday, it was warmer (maybe 65+ degrees by end of it) and the balance wasn't as good as it was the day before, but still felt solid. Course was the reverse of Saturday's course with some minor tweaks, but felt like it was tougher to maneuver with this car. Still, it felt pretty solid and it was a good warm-up for the upcoming National events on the West Coast (Fontana Pro, Crows NT + Pro).

Also, Rob was able to get us sponsored by Nexen, so we'll be using the SUR4Gs for the upcoming National events and for the Pro Finale (if we qualify) and Nats. I prefer how the car drives with the Nexens, so it should be fun

RT615K+ are horrible. We're using them as the spec tire for SSC class and what are basically CS FRS/BRZs with camber adjustment are getting raw timed by ES cars. But at least everyone else is on the same tire.

curious in what way they suck - i.e., lateral grip, longitudinal grip, both? feel like ****, can't take heat, need too much heat?
