Hmm, 10lbs lighter than my ETS 3.5". That sounds tempting.

Which version is it though?

I see this "SE" version here for $325 https://www.nengun.com/blitz/se-intercooler-kit

This one for $1028 https://www.vividracing.com/catalog/...7-p-64841.html

$1000 is pretty steep for an FMIC, but assuming that's the right one

How was fitment of your trunk? My trunk was vandalized years ago (somebody kicked it in) so its been creased now for years and always annoyed me.

I found a silver trunk off a lancer at a local junk yard that I was tempted to pick up and now I see two locals are selling cf trunks. One is a Seibon and the other is VIS. Both will be painted silver but what I want to know is how fitment compares between the two?

It seems they're both hit or miss from what I've seen and according to my research weight loss is very similar too.

According to this thread the Seibon lid without wing dropped 18# (wing is 7#) so we're looking at 11# trunk lid savings vs you're stated 12# savings. Offical weight savings thread shows the VIS around 10# savings but moral of the story they both seem comparible enough that Im looking for the better sitting one.

Good question indeed. Huge swing in price. I'd also love to know what kind of power it can support?

I've also been in contact with a reseller of Plazmaman products as I was curious on their intercoolers.

Im looking at the folowing two intercoolers:
https://plazmaman.com/shop_itemdetai...id=111&cate=80

https://plazmaman.com/shop_itemdetail.php?itemid=109

The issue is Im currently getting conflicting information on the weights of the coolers. The 2nd one appears to be a varient of this one which according to their site comes in at 5.8kg's however the smaller one, the one I first linked they say is 5.9kgs so something isnt right here...
https://plazmaman.com/shop_itemdetai...id=130&cate=53

Either way they're very popular abroad and another tube and fix option for those looking to shed the weight up front.

From what I understood about the Blitz, there are basically only 2 versions. 1 of which I believe is just chemically polished.

Called evasive on that FMIC. The more expensive one just has chemical shine for corrosion resistance. He does not believe its a different core. Also the PN are about the same except the first digit.

Said it'd be 3/4 months coming from Japan.

BLITZ-23114 $522
BLITZ-13114 $833 -- Chemical Shine
