Part request - Cheap but functional Canards for stock bumpers Not sure why nobody has jumped on that yet. We're not talking the tiny APR ones nor the whale tail WTAC ones, like the size of the standard voltex ones.

Not a large market. Someone would have to be willing to put in the R&D. Then the rest of us would have to be willing to pay whatever price point they set. If we don't, said R&Der is stuck with product LOL. Big risk, when you are in it for the money haha.

If someone could design them, I could probably make them. I just don't have the means to figure it out properly just yet. A local guy is working on a 3D scan of his car he said he would share with me. I think together we'll eventually work towards something reasonable.

I was thinking it would be cool to CNC the mold for a composite part, but the reality is that's the easy bit.

Didn't Honda-guy make some of his own canards for the stock bumper? I'm sure he has some dimensions and feedback of performance as well

Yes it's...best...to have an ABrilliant version but you can't expect it to be optimal for every car. We're honestly after a generic pair that people can mount as they see fit. I seriously doubt all these ones for C5/6's have that much RnD in them.

They just direct air over the wheels, right? Couldn't be that complicated...?

The canard directs air to the rear wing.

I thought Canards played a big part in getting out from the wheel wells and under the side skirts. Didn't think it had any real effect on the rear wing especially since they really just cause a bunch of turbulence.

I remember reading one of the smarter guys posts in the section saying they direct air up to the rear wing. It does make sense that they would also work to move air around/away from the wheel well.

Multiple purposes. Keep air from hitting the tire, dir Ct air to rear wing, create vortices down the side of the car (which has multiple benefits that are slipping my mind). Wasp has made them but yet no one can seem to get there hands in them. See below.

A good read on canards and how they can affect other areas. http://www.ajhartmanracing.com/blog/...nes-explained/

Although I realize this is a custom fab thread. If you really just need some canards how about the APR canards?

Looked up his IG and saw that. Post previous to wrecked car was him talking about how fun rain track days are, and how fast he was going, and drifting T11. Sounds like it bit him...

In regards to this thread, I'll be installing my trailing arms, and SSB designs Ohlin's top hats this weekend. I'll get some better pics than what I put in the other thread. The DERTCO TIG welds are quite pretty.
