There is no such thing as a large enough garage. Its amazing how much crap err I mean tools one can accumulate.
My gf was complaining about lack of closet space recently which I thought was comical and then it dawned on me...closet space is to females as garage space is to males. Yes, I know extremely sexist and I apologize in advance but just making a generalization here

Bought the house a little over 2 years ago. Detached 25x30 garage with 11' ceilings and some attic storage. Recently had a 200A dedicated power line run to the building that the HOA can't see lol. Installed the lift this past Christmas. MIG and TIG welders, a medium sized metal lathe, and kegarator adds to the fun!

^Lol nice progression. My ideal setup would be some sort of attached garage where I could park/ store cars that are daily driven and then a detached shop where all the magic happens. My evos sits in the garage and I tend to have it up on the lift so keep it out of the way but the amount of dust and crap that gets all over it is very annoying.
My garage is only 32x24 which is larger than an average garage no doubt but no where near big enough. I also have a whole 2nd floor for storage but still.
Next time, if that ever happens Im going big. Something along the lines of 40x60 I'd think sounds nice. But even then Im sure Id fill that up very quickly...

Thats not a garage but rather a warehouse! The only downside to a place that large is the operating costs. I insulated my garage and installed a minisplit since i dont have NG on my street and didnt want to deal with propane. My thoughts were the minisplit would be efficient however keeping my garage at 50 degrees all winter added $200 a month to my electric bill. But working in a 50 degree shop when its 10 degrees outside is worth it. Oh and AC in the summer is amazing.

Hey Andy nice shop! A lot bigger than the one you had when I bought that silver evo from you.
This is my new shop I'm clearing everything out and it's getting spray foamed next week. Oh BTW Hoosier Daddy? Lol
