Hyperthetical track day insurance question

Hey I was just talking to one of my mates and he is organising track day insurance for his car, for an up and coming event. Now I ask the question, if a guy has insurance and lets say you happen to hit him from behind and he has it on film, could it be possible that you could have that insurance company knocking on your door to pay for the damage? and of course your insurance company wont cover you because you are tracking and your policy doesn't cover it.

Your thoughts?

Both seem about right. I hope I never get hit....almost happened once when a 911 lost his brakes right behind me and he ditched the car to avoid hitting me.
