Below 30? You don't really want to see below 60.

I don't think anyone still on a wet sump sees 60psi on right handers. Am I wrong?

Mine does. Had a passenger verify it at Chuckwalla.

I do, but I have an Evo 10 and MAP baffled pan so *shrug*. 75psi+

If I saw anything below 30 off idle I would be SUPER concerned.

At 30psi the issue isn't the pressure. 30psi is a symptom of low oil and aeration which is what is going to kill things. Aerated oil doesn't have the same film strength to support the bearings.

What are you running for tires?

Yea IIRC one of the RS Motors guys was saying on one of the other threads they still were seeing like 20-30psi through right handers with their racefab pan. When I get some time later I'll post up a vid of a lap around Gingerman that shows my pressure gauge.

Edit: Just watched a few laps on my phone and it looks like pressure doesn't go below 40 except during some wheel hop in one corner where it goes to like 35. Normal pressure was around 60 and on right handers and acceleration it goes to 40. This is with dom 15-50 @240-245F.

That’s depressing because I’ve been really interested in that option. Was this the One Lap car on street tires?

I thought it was their gridlife evo but I honestly don't remember. I know Andy has been posting up pics of drysump stuff lately but not sure for which car.

Im sure something like this exists, but it seems like it would be trivially easy to set up a little "IF RPM > X and Oil Pressure < Y then flash warning light" kind of system.

It would need to be a 3d look up- if RPM is this, and oil pressure <this, then flash warning light.

whats the 3rd thing? You have RPM and pressure. A 3d table is a good idea though, you could have oil temp be one axis and rpm on another. Then you could compensate for the oil thinning at higher temps.

Edit: Sorry i misunderstood what you where trying to say. Yes i think a lookup table is a good idea. Having many RPM and pressure points would make the system way more useful. What you described i think would be considered a 2d lookup table though, which is probably good enough.

I bet if you ask nicely, perhaps bribe thoroughly, Mychailo (MrFred) could add a table for that as long as you give up a different analog input (rear o2 perhaps). I dont know if that would be able to trigger a CEL or something, but you would need to think it through to fully define.

I would guess, 2D map, RPM vs Pressure would be sufficient. Anything else may need another input which is probably not available.

You could probably wire it up into a spare ADC for logging without doing anything (ROM wise that is). A patch would be great, we would probably need to crowd source enough money to make it happen though. I couldn't even begin to speculate how much that would be.

I’m planning to do an alert like that shortly using my Zeitronix gear.
