On my old turbo Integra, I ran the largest Borla I could fit in the test pipe/cat area that looked something like this:

then the largest Magnaflow oval I could fit in the rear. It was fairly quiet and sounded amazing, IMO. Sure there was turbulence that cost HP, but it was worth it, IMO. I've considered doing the same for the Evo, but just haven't gotten under there to measure clearances.

Probably old inventory to begin with. I don't know that another season of storage would make much difference.
I always store my good autocross tires in the house over winter because I heard the same thing. Except last year, I left my nearly-spent RE-71R in the freezing garage all winter. Probably dipped below freezing 10-20 times over the winter.
I thought they'be destroyed by spring, but they were still felt like they had great grip. In fact, I felt like I got slower when I installed my new RE-71R due to the full depth tread squirm.
What actually happens to performance tires stored below freezing temps? I've never found any real information about it, other than guidelines to let frozen tires warm up before mounting or flexing them.

I'm just not convinced that the same damage applies to RE-71Rs stored in bags in my attic over the winter. I still bring the good set of tires into the basement just to be safe. My wife hates it, though.
