I can only really guess why this helps but I know it absolutely had an effect going to the 1way clutch front from the wavetrac helical. But my best guess is more consistent torque bias up front as things change in load.

I've recently also been chasing this gremlin. Please let us know if you solve it on your end!
I bumped up to a wider tire and now the car grips like crazy but does exactly what you are saying here. Free mods on Dallas' list are to lighten up on the RSB (I only have one more hole to use ) and adjust camber. I'm running 2* in the rear already... not sure if I wanna try more. I don't really AutoX much, so I'd be okay if that's the only place it happens. I haven't had a chance to get on the track, lately, so we'll see if adjustments need to be made there also.

Update. Some trouble at the OSCA Pikes Peak event
  • They were having some setting issues w/the new MOTEC system
  • Alternator failure. They had a spare in the trailer & did the tough install at the track. Fixed!
  • Some tuning issues w/the new Bosch ABS
  • Ultimately a blown oil line ended the day. Some light wiring damage due to an oil fire. Noted as fixable by the team
The car is a real handful due to the new motor / engine management & ABS

Disappointing event for the Showtime Motorsports Team

Just posted up on YT:

For all intents / purposes, this is it

Ken recently signed up here but likely way too busy for board work. Though he's one heck of a Facebooker

Yeah, just kinda disappointed to see a 90K price tag asked for. The car was Kens for sure. It was his group that built it for him

Anyway, Ken is moving on w/his Trans Am racing & i think he will still compete in the Optima series, but in a C7 Vette

Still proud that he ran the RS EvO & won the event in 2017

LoL srsly, there's over 35k in just what he listed, without even counting install costs. Sad but truth about race cars, you get half of what you paid when selling. He likely had ~115k in it on the day he decided to sell? Figured he'd take the 25k as a "hit", but he's forgetting it's still a mitsubishi at the end of the day.

yep id say he could still get 60 - 70k for it. 95 is a bit of a stretch but depends how keen he is to sell it i guess.

Nobody is going to spend 90k on a Evo. Come on. I get there is a TON of expensive stuff on there but come on.

The reality is it would be better served being parted out, but that is a lot of work.

Did they ever get the car working well?

I didn't follow it closely, but it seems like every time I checked their social media posts it was another story about the Evo breaking down. I couldn't tell if their social media person was trying to play up the drama, or if the car was constantly having issues.

Really too bad. I was hoping they could get it all sorted out and run it for a while.
