There are some great schools run by the BMW Club of Canada (BMW CC) and Porsche Club of America (PCA). Unfortunately, the PCA does not allow you to run with them unless you own a Porsche. However, you are welcome to join the BMW CC and participate in their schools even if you don't own a BMW. In fact, I'm on the board of directors of the BMW Club of Quebec...and I drive an Evo!

There are BMW CC and PCA schools at all the tracks in Canada, including Mosport and Tremblant. If you're interested, we're running the Summer Drift school at the end of this month and the 2-day Midsummer Heat school at Tremblant in July. Click here for the list.

Well, you actually have a lot of choices. Mosport, Shannonville, and TMP/Cayuga are all within a couple of hours of Toronto. And the new Calabogie facility won't be that far. Hell, even Watkins Glen isn't all that far. Plenty of nice tracks. Mosport is one of my favorites, though it can be scary as hell once you get fast!

You should look into the BMW CC--Trillium Chapter and the Saab Owner's Club of Canada, Inc. (SOCCI). Both of them run very nice schools, and neither has restrictions about what car you can drive. By the way, it's better to join the BMW CC because that way you get access to all the BMW CCA and BMW CC events throughout North America, plus many PCA events. The SOCCI isn't quite so well known. Plus, you don't need to be a SOCCI member to run with them anyway.
