Track: Pocono Long course

Fun day at the track with much bigger displacement cars including many Z06's and some TI prepared z06 racecars from Phoenix racing. I saw around 145 down the front straight.

Working... hah.. I was only there Sat.

Why did you loose brakes? Line pop off? or did you have bad brake fade? Coming off the superspeedway multiple times would def do that.

Really nice vid...

I originally thought I just boiled the fluid, something ended up going in either the master cylinder or the unit where the ABS is controlled, 2 piece rotors, new pads, new fluid, and lines are going on before the event at lime rock.

Also, was the c6 z06 just following the SS autocross car for a couple laps? I know you were moving but when I was there the z06 was flying, I was on stock STI tires with about another 60 whp and the same in tq than you and he would literally just fly away from me on the straights? For all those wondering that yellow vette was a c6 z06 which had IIRC 285 35 18 hoosiers in the front and 325 35 18s in the back, rs304's, that thing moved.

Come out to limerock on the 3rd/4th ill be there instructing again, and my car should be back together, could be a good time..... Where in NJ are you located, PM it if you want, I live in warrren.

I spoke with the C6Z06 owner and he said he was following the T1 car into turn one... either way he could out-drag me on the straights... but not in the infield. Yes he was the one with the Hoosier R6's.

I wish I could come to LIme Rock, I'm giong to be leaving for the evo shootout on the 7th, not enough time to prep.

I'm right in Morris county, I'm at most PDA, EMRA, SCDA events Pocono , Lime Rock,

JIC coilovers/ 5Zigen 17x9's with 255 RA-1's. The Performance friction floaters with PF race pads / ss lines / Motul 600 also helps

Great Video. that was fun to watch. Nice driving.:D:D

Wish I had those skills.

Mmmmm, which PF pads exactly, as I am going to be going the same exact route, I have JIC FLTA-2's aswell, what were your alignment specs and how did you find your setup for this track? I was on stok STI tires, I would light all 4 up coming out of 2 3 and 4 :). I

I used to run 255 RA-1's as well, I need some more...... Morris county, I meant what town, I am in somerset county.

P.S. that "T1" car is/was actually a Super Stock prepared Z06, it was an autocross driver's car and he wanted to get his feet wet so Phoenix advised him to come to this trackday to see if T1 was something he wanted to do.

Cant remember the pad #... but they are the carbon "race" pad.

My allignment is about -4deg camber front , -1.5 rear 0 toe 0 toe and a nice rake in the ride height department to make the car rotate. And for this track I had a little too much understeer... that's cool though for the bowl section and coming off the speedway into turn 1. You DONT want oversteer there.

I'm in Kinnelon NJ

Yeah that T1 car was not piloted by the pro... the other yellow TI car was... I also ate him for breakfast and luch :)

Thanks Nils.... the camera is the new Sony HDR HC3 Hi Def camera. I'm just learning the video compression aspect of it. What you see in the video is about half the resolution that I see on my HDTV
