KW's are in, but question.
after a LONG wait, the v3's with swift springs and cusco plates are in:beer:
got it all setup and aligned to GTworX specs.. But ive noticed an issue and its probably tuning error on my part. the instructions say that clockwise is stiffer, but they are INSANELY unclear about the bottom part of the strut (compression). If the strut body is upright (as in installed), which way am i turning it to full stiff? Reason i ask, the car is pretty bouncy and feels uncontrolled over regular street bumps. racing tomorrow morn so if you can, please clarify this for me thanks all! |

I just sent you an email regarding the KW's settings. If you need to give me a call tomorrow or email me. I can help you get it set up.

came in second i believe today in SM..but the comp wasnt that stiff.. The season points leader is a MINI S, and i was consistantly 2 seconds faster than him. I was being raped by a 03+ cobra meihre (sp) race car LOL.
Loving the kw's so far. Car rotates at will. |

KW has pretty much followed Koni's lead, so it's very likely that clockwise is stiffer, counterclockwise is softer.

Is it clock wise looking up at the bottom, or clock wise looking down from the top. Basically if the strut is vertical and you are looking down, does bump turn the same way or the opposite way of the top rebound setting to adjust? I have forgotten this myself. If I am reading you right, you are saying turn it the same way.
Looking from the top and using the Koni tool, you turn rebound counterclockwise for more rebound (indicted as "Firm" on the tool with an arrow). About 2 1/2 turns total, no detents ("clicks"). Looking from the bottom, using a screwdriver on the flat head of the bump adjuster (has 12 detents/positions), you turn clockwise for more bump. In re-reading the OPs post, it appears it's the opposite for the KWs. It'd help if somebody else could confirm. |
