RX'ing your car?

Who here has been rally crossing their evo? How do you like the car on the dirt and loose surfaces?

I sold my past RX subaru and miss it dearly and have been looking for a newer replacement. I've got some other projects in my arena but have considered picking up an evo with a blown motor and doing something different. I have a fully built Cosworth YBT Escort RS engine and Autronic ECU I've been saving to put into a ford chassis, but now have the itch to stick it into something different and make another frankenstein hybrid of a rally car just to be an ass.

Just looking for opinions on the chassis's handling on the loose stuff from those who actually do it consistently. How do the stock diffs react in this field?

I've built and driven plenty of these from daily drivers to bare bones tarmac machines, but have never been able to convince a customer to let me romp on one in the fields across the shop

both FWIW. In reality a vast majority of it would be the auto-x type, but if an arena style Rallycross event was local enough and entry were available it would be a high consideration for the car as well. I had intentions with the Sti to run some NASA stage rally as well, but other things took precedence at the time.

I've got a few different cars i'm looking at, from other subarus, to old Lancia's, and of course the Evo's. I'd prefer to build the later of the the three based on looks alone if nothing else. Ha! I don't plan to be competitive. I just enjoy building cars and throwing them around the dirt in professional/organized events and having fun.

the subi is a cheapest the evo is a best. the lancia is the rarest but a same time the only one you shouldn't consider it in the states. Also the Evo is much better in Any angle , besides the rarity.
