Blackhawk Farms Lapping Day May 26th Only $160
 

Madison Sports Car Club is hosting a lapping day at Blackhawk Farms Raceway near Beloit, WI on Saturday May 26th.

The cost is only $160 which gets you over two hours of track time. This is a great deal compared to what other groups charge for a lapping day at this track.

I'm considering coming out to play on Saturday. It's been over 2 years since I attended a MC event. I'm curious to see how much quicker lap times are after the recent improvements to a few of the corners.

What's the deal with this High speed auto-x? Is this something i can just show up and run?

Yes.

And just FYI, High speed autox doesnt have any cones, its simply a standing start full lap.

Can you guys tell me what class my car is in? It's a NASA TTS car, a fully caged/street legal car. It is an XP autocross car( mainly because of cage).

A-Race.

MC uses a points system and you add up your points. it doesnt take many points to get dumped into the Race class. With my old black evo, i was borderline almost in AR and that was a tune, full exhaust, coilovers, sway bars, and very minor weight reduction.

Or if you are on street tires, you could enter the Street-Unlimited.


I really hate their classing system, and thats why i just went A-Race where there essentially is no restrictions to anything. any mods allowed, any aero, any tires....

7 practice laps and then kaboom! Not even a timed run today. Seems like a fun track.

You would have had a lot of fun participating in the timed runs. Blackhawk is a fun track to toss the car around a bit. Pushing it all out on cold tires really adds to the challenge.

I had fun on Saturday playing chase/follow with a Z06 that was running identical lap times. I'll try to get some video posted up soon.
