18x10's
So in brief searching and from what I remember some of you guys are running 18x10's. I was looking at adding RPF-1's to my 18x9.5 nt03's but I wanted the word on what works and what you had to mod. Offset as well.

I've seen a few autox and track guys run 18x10 +38. Requires 20mm spacers in front, and possible small spacer in the rear depending on what tires/size you plan. The guys with 285 Hoosiers ran a anywhere from 3-5mm spacers in the rear. You could also look into Eric's (R/T Ernie) custom trailing arms. He has been able to run 10.5s with 295 using the trailing arms.

I run 18x10 +18 all around. 275/35/18 Hoosier A6 and same size Nitto NT01.
Version Select Wide Body front fenders and rear over fenders. |

Version Select Wide Body front fenders and rear over fenders. The RPF1s with 285s require 17mm or greater spacer up front, -3.5* camber, and a generous roll/pull. Rears I just needs a moderate roll with custom trailing links. |

Over fenders being the KEY in that setup, no way 275s on a +18 are fitting under stock rear (or rolled) fenders.

Funny you start this thread, I just received my 18X10.5 NT03's in a +30 offset. No spacers needed at all, and it just barely clears everything with my 265 BFG R1S's.
Only place it rubs is at full lock on the inside frame but it's not much and will just polish off some undercoat. The rear's are close, and I have already cut the inner fender lip off so no issues there. I did smoothen out the rear trailing arm edge so nothing sharp would catch the tire under tire deflection. http://blog.365racing.net/wp-content...183222_537.jpg http://i508.photobucket.com/albums/s...182819_424.jpg |

Can't...err shouldn't roll/pull the alum front fenders imo. The rear requires a roll, but not necessarily the trailing arms.

I've had bad experience myself, as well as heard from others about doing that to alum fenders. If it worked fo you, great!

I didnt realize how big of a pull my car had till I tried to put stock wheels back on without a spacer. Then tried parking and comparing to a stock evo, huge difference. Maybe I should take some pics some day.

Matt, I had 18x10.5+18 rpf-1's on my car with the stock body running 285 a6's. It took a evo dave front fender mod that I made myself and a lot of pulling in the rear. It takes body work to make it look good but it can be done. Also you have to move the rear bumper bolt back and cut the bumper some. Text me and I'll send you pictures.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I don't plan on running larger then 275 for points but I know a 10 over 9.5 will give slightly wider track and slightly better grip thus slightly better lap times so i'm trying to figure out which 10 is an option. RPF's seem the proven choice, I don't think they make NT03's in 10, just 10.5. |
