DiaQueen discontinued - now what?

EPA has closed the door on DiaQueen. What’s the back up plan for fluids? Possible we can still get DiaQueen elsewhere? What was the magic ingredient our EVO’s lives so much?

Unless something changed again recently that ban has come and gone so you should be fine. See here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...continued.html

Awesome. Thanks.

well thats a relief... I am sure there was an influx of oil purchase by some folks panicking tryin to get the leftover batches.

Mitsubishi during that period released a alternate fluid to diaqueen that I am curious to test. we got a 5gallon drum of it at work enoslsd90

BigT Mar 12, 2018 05:05 AM

I wonder if its the same Diaqueen as before.

LetsGetThisDone Mar 12, 2018 01:38 PM

Redline is better anyways. MT90 shifts better in both the 8/9 5speed and the X. And the redline gl5 gear oil has higher EP additive content.

mantella Mar 12, 2018 07:12 PM

i hope you do not put mt90 in the transfer case. but yes it seems to be the same fluid diaqueen lsd that is

The fluid in question is for the transfer case and rear diff

I don't think anyone assumed T-case over Diaqueen in general (other than you?). They make trans fluid too, which was more common for people wanting due to 6speed longevity.

BigT Mar 18, 2018 07:41 PM

So, uhhh...

Diaqueen or something else for an autocross car?

Dallas J Mar 18, 2018 08:52 PM

Everytime I think about oils, I always go back to TRE's page.
