NTEC: Dinosaur Valley Cruise, Saturday, April 4th, 9:00 a.m.
Everyone,
Well its that time of the year again to start planning cruises. The weather is beautiful, with no hurricanes in sight. Since the last cruise was on the north side of town, I think it's only fair we have a south side cruise. So I'll get the party started with the first cruise of the year.
Saturday, April 4th, at 9:00 am.
The Dinosaur Valley Cruise
The total mileage for the cruise will be @140 miles
http://www.dfwz3club.org/dvddi.htm
We will meet here for the start of the cruise at 9:00 a.m. sharp
IHOP Restaurant
1951 Hwy 287 N
Mansfield, TX 76063-4808
(817) 453-3101
Basically exit FM 157 (Debbie Lane) from Highway 287 (southbound), go through the exit light on the service road, Ihop will be on your right, can't miss it.
There is a huge parking lot behind IHOP right in front of the Lowes, so we can all meet there, for a quick "before" photoshoot.
Just a reminder, please fill up your gas tanks before we start!
We will be starting in Mansfield, and driving through Joshua, Godley, Glen Rose, Granbury and finally finishing in Benbrook. From there, its time to go home.
Now, we could probably eat lunch before or after a photoshoot at Dinosaur Valley State Park. Time will tell us at that point.
Now the entry fee into the State Park is 5 bucks per car, but I will be calling them to see if I can work out a group deal.
We will be eating lunch in Glen Rose at:
Juliany's Italian Restaurant
Address: 503 SW Big Bend Trail, Glen Rose, TX
Phone: 254-897-2576
I have reserved a section of the resturant for us.
Once we reach Granbury, we will have another opportunity for a photoshoot at the Old Granbury Courthouse or the Granbury Lake Beach.
I will supply the group with detailed maps at the starting point. I will continue to update this thread as the drive gets closer.
I will get the list started:
1. JDW1479 +2
2. goofygrin +2
3. mrMTB + 0
4. krisiun +1
5. Shimanchu +1
6. Devo

Sounds cool -- but what happens if the power grid goes out and the electric fences get disabled? I've seen the movie and I know how this could go down.
On that note, it sounds like fun and I'll see if i can clear my schedule to make it!

Josh,
Your beginning to remind me of the Gummers in the movie Tremors. I bet you have a wall some where in your house that displays all your guns. Here, how about this:
