ouch that hurt!

This is what happens when an EVO X hits a concrete wall on the tollway at 65mph.
My guess will be its a total loss, the engine is angled back about 10 deg.

P.S.

there was no racing or speeding involved just a drunk idiot who almost hit me!

holy heck!!!

I call dibs on anything cool (you know... sway bars... that rear is probably a-ok )

SilverEvoX will want your wing/trunk if it is totaled. He'll swap out his trunk/short wing for insurance purposes I'm sure

I have never been in a street crash before, but I thought oh pooh I'm going to die.
The only thing wrong with me is the bad taste in my mouth from the propellent from the airbags.

If there is anything worth salvaging, hey it has a good nav still!

worst part is I always get gap insurance on all my cars. The insurance company said I never had it. When I added this car I told them to give it the same coverage as all my cars. But some how they said I never requested it, IM PRETTY PISSED

so what happened? are you ok? drunk cut you off? did you get plates or anything? for hitting something head on at 65mph theres basically very little damage (a 65 mph head on with a concrete wall i would expect the car to be demolished completely)

I dont drive drunk so it wasn't me.

South on tollway about to exit onto 635 WEST

A white Chevy truck came from the far left lane and tried to beet me into the exit.
I grabbed a little to much steering(thought he or she was going to hit me) and could not correct it in time then it was like pinball after that.

Could not see his plates at the time to much happening then it was all airbags after that.
Believe it or not I made a mile home with no coolant or engine oil a broken in half rear suspension arm, no IC (talking about turbo lag) and the engine is angled sideways about 10 deg!

They never stopped and probably did not even see it happen. The people behind me saw me hit and they were shocked I even lived.

if you were going through a toll plaza, around that exit, you could try contacting them about getting plates on a white truck that went through around the same time as you. if it makes a difference...

Yes very hard to deal with so far lifes bad enough right now. The car will be total loss I'm sure of it, I will end being screwed on my loan and have one car left my wifes. I have sold almost everything to stay alive.

That's bad news - but at least you are not seriously injured. So if being paralyzed in a car wreck is very unlucky -- then you are actually very lucky... Look at the good side right?

As for the driver who cut you off and caused this -- trust in Karma. What goes around comes around.

As far as gap goes -- you can buy that when you buy the car so check your papers from when you bought the car and see if you bought a gap policy at the time of purchase.

Yes they usually do, but not on this part of the tollway since there is no booth or toll plaza. He was already on the tollway at this point and didn't have to pay to get off or onto 635....That freaking sucks man and it's a shame that none of the cars behind you tried to follow the truck and get his plate number once they saw other people stopping to help you. At least your okay!!!!!!

First off damn! That is one hell of an accident. Glad you are ok. Sorry to see this happen to this beautiful car and to you as well. I would definitely check with authorities about this and see if they have a plate. Only problem is, there is no way to prove that they were drunk. I am sure that if you work with your insurance company they can obtain any surveilance from the scene. Any plans to purchase another one?

Yeah, the NTTA should be willing to pull up the records of the vehicles that went through the plazas around the same time as you (I assume you paid with a toll tag - they can key the search off of your timestamp). Glad to hear you're OK. All in all, it could have been much worse than being out a chunk of change on someone else's account.
