be wary of the part around Coyote Ridge golf course (off 121). There's a landfill there that smells TERRIBLE! I mean you can smell if from miles away.

 

Thanks for the info guys. We actually put an offer in on two houses near the Dallas North Tollway in Carrollton but didn't get either of them. One since the seller accepted another buyer's offer minutes before our offer came in and the other because the inspection report turned up some rather serious issues. We've since decided to just rent for a few months while we hunt for a house. Our planned move date is October 25th and we're really excited to get the f**k out of Minnesota and into a warmer climate!

 

I think that's a wise decision. There's a LOT of houses on the rental market right now, so I think you'll be able to find a nice house or apartment.

You'll be just a bit late for the picnic though

We signed the papers for a 3-month lease at an apartment in The Colony today to live in while we continue our house hunt.
