Goodbye MAF...

Earlier this week I built my speed density patched Tephra v5.10 ROM and today I made the switch. I've spent the majority of my day driving around logging and tweaking the SD tables and values. It's not even close to perfect yet, but its a whole lot closer now that it was at first. I'm still working on the part-throttle cruising aspect and once that is dialed-in I'll work my way up to boost and WOT conditions.

My initials impressions do show the car to have smoother light-throttle drivability below 2,000 RPM.

Has anyone else locally made the switch?

What a PITA. I haven't tried getting into boost much yet and the car is driving really smooth, but my AFR's insist on going lean for a few seconds when I'm leaving from a stop. The low RPM/throttle drivability is amazing though! The low speed stop and go and crawling down the alley is just as smooth, if not smoother, as my car when stock! Even with my big cams and injectors I'm able to drive in 3rd gear @ 1k RPM (I know this isn't kind to my bearings, I was just doing a test) and either hold my speed or accelerate with no bucking at all.

Will do! I'm making more progress with it every day. So far I've brought it a little above 20 psi and am working to make sure I'm hitting the proper load values to bring my tune inline to what it was with the MAF.

The car feels awesome in stop n go traffic even with the A/C on, I don't think it felt this smooth even before my cams and injectors.

WOO! SD ROM v27 is a success! I was just out making multiple clean WOT pulls and the car feels great!

Time to order a Perrin air filter that will fit directly to my intake pipe. I feel after spending 6 days doing tons of logging and tuning I have a pretty good handle on this speed density stuff so if anyone wants a hand or at least a 2nd set of eyes just let me know and I'm sure we can get you setup.

Also, a special big thanks to my buddy Scheides up in MN for always being willing to look over logs and giving me pointers along the way since he's already converted 3 cars!

Yes sir, she is running as good as ever My WOT fueling and timing maps need a little more fine tuning but they're 99% good.
