NTEC summer cruise - August 6th-7th - Shreveport, LA
Dates: Saturday, August 6th through Sunday, August 7th
Meeting Time: 8:30AM
Meeting Location: Walmart Neighborhood Market - Dallas on 75
Destination: Downtown Riverfront - Shreveport, LA
Total Distance: ~550 miles
Hotel: https://www.eldoradoshreveport.com/
The Eldorado Hotel & Casino on the Downtown Riverfront will be the official NTEC hotel. Room prices are $185/night for up to 4 people. We realize this is not a cheap hotel so if you'd prefer to stay elsewhere that is fine. There are numerous nearby hotels, if you need help finding one please let me know and I'll do what I can to help. No matter where you stay, we'll have tons of fun as a group Saturday night then meet back up late Sunday morning for breakfast before heading home.
The exact route is going to remain private to prevent law enforcement from staking it out (yes, it's happened). Maps of the exact route will be provided to all drivers the morning of the cruise; this will ensure everyone knows exactly where we're going just in case the group happens to get separated. We will make regrouping stops as required to keep everyone together though and I plan to find a nice lunch spot about halfway through. It should be a very fun and scenic route taking us through two wildlife management areas and three national forests! Sunday morning will be an easy < 3 hour drive home on Hwy 20.
Unfortunately E85 stations will not be available outside the DFW area so please make alternate arrangements whether it be carrying spare jugs in your trunk or switching over to a pump gas tune when needed. If you're tuned on E85 please make sure to have the appropriate tune or OTS map loaded into your Accessport or laptop so you can switch over quickly at a gas station.
Everyone is welcome to join so please feel free to bring your spouse, kids, friends, etc!

If anyone in the club wants to come but NOT drive their Evo for whatever reason; I'm sure there will be plenty of open seats in the cars that are going. Everyone is welcome to come

Here's all the pictures I took from back in April when I went up with Kracka and PlanoEvo to the MitsuStyle Spring Cruise:

I'm in LA right now. We are on a AZ, Cal(Palm Spring,La,Sf) Vegas road trip. This will be the last. No more longer 800miles anymore. I hope you got more guys to come the better. Be safe. Saw some red Evo 8 for sale.

Hopefully you can join, if you can, please add yourself to the running list!
I haven't booked my room yet, but I am going to probably this weekend. A lot of the other casinos are already full for that weekend and I want to make sure I get a room. I advise everyone else to do the same; remember, you're not charged until check-in and you can cancel 24 hours in advance and get charged nothing.
*edit*
I just booked my room! I figured there was no reason to wait since they don't charge your card until check-in and cancellations are free.

I also want to add that we'll have plenty of fuel and rest stops, and do them as needed. I'm not going to risk anyone running out of fuel so I like to stop every half-tank just to top-off again, plus pull over at any nice scenic (or non-scenic) reststops along the side of the road.
I'm planning for ~6 hours of seat time on Saturday, then less than 3 coming home on Sunday. We'll have a nice 1-2 hour lunch break in the middle of Saturday too.
