Acree's Evo X LED Interior Conversion

This conversion was completed for Krisiun. He has a Phantom Black Evo X MR. Current outside aesthetic mods are gold Volk TE37's, black out tails, etc. The interior is stock with the exception of an AEM Wideband and AEM Digital Boost gauge. When Chris dropped the car off, I showed him some of the mods I've completed on my IX. I believe that gave him full confidence in my abilities so he gave me full reign and cart blanche over the color choice and combination for the conversion.

With this conversion, the thing that sets it apart from others people have completed on X's previously is the level of professionalism and fine detail on every aspect of the build. Each LED has been hand selected from a batch of the same color for color correctness. I made sure the wave lengths match each color no matter which package size the led came in. The correct package size was utilized to replace the stock LED perfectly, whether that was a 0603, 0805, 1206, right angle, 5mm, or PLCC2 led. I added different types of diffusing material to different pieces to achieve a uniform lighting scheme throughout the interior. This is also the most complete conversion anyone has done on these cars. But the gauges are still white, you might say to yourself. Yes, but this was a deliberate choice as I believe blue gauges faces would be potentially over-bearing. The white gauges add a perfect balance to interior with a few of the other accents being white. Every switch, light, and button was modified in some way to make the entire interior cohesive.

With all of this being said, I've completed over 40 led interior conversions for 350z's, G35's, and FX35's in the past five years. I've been on my350z.com for the last 7 years under the same screen name. This is my first conversion on a X, and I would consider it flawless in every aspect.

Here is a complete list of every component converted.
AWC Switch (Blue)
SST Switch (Blue)
Shift Surround (Blue with White on Gear Select)
Passenger Airbag Indicator (Blue, since it stays on if no one is in the passenger seat. I wanted it to blend into the center dash.)
AC Controls (Blue)
Under AC Accent Lights (Blue)
Factory Navigation Controls (Blue)
Driver's Window Switch (Blue)
Headlight Level Switch (Blue)
ASC Switch (Blue)
Information Display (Blue Normal Operation, Red Warning Operation)
Needles (Blue)
AEM Wideband (Blue Seven Segment Displays, direct factory replacement)
AEM Digital Boost Gauge (Blue Seven Segment Displays, direct factory replacement)
Full Stereo, Cruise, and Handsfree Controls (Blue)

Here are the pictures. Please excuse the quality. They are all taken on an iPhone 4. {pcfreak}

Dude...

That is just SICK! That's pretty much the color that I want on mine. I'm definitely going to be a customer. I can't wait to see how the rest of the car will turn out.

So I will probably be able to part with my car for a while as I might be switching assignments at work soon and will most likely be working in Ft. Worth for a while. I got my parents to let me borrow my sister's old car so I don't rack up the mileage on the Evo so if all this happens, then you have yourself your 2nd customer. {thumbup}

Nice work man, glad to see you're carrying over the conversions from the Z's to the X's now :)

There's Chris upping his game again. Time to break out the secret sauce. :)

I have every bulb in all 3 of my vehicles converted to LED lol. You need to play catch up!

You may be a little too late, I had to make a bunch of changes at once in order to surprise you :lol:

I can't even begin to describe the difference between what I'm doing and your "led bulbs." {thumbup}

I will be starting on the gauges tonight. Should have some more pics later.

I'd love the competition. I custom fabbed 90 LEDs in my cluster, and 39 into my HVAC. I also retrofit OEM osram LED bulbs into tail lights they don't belong in. My next project is a PWM dimmed set of Evo IX JDM tails.

Do you have any pictures of your work? I have seen some of Andrews work up close and it is extremely stunning. He has done some awesome stuff on his IX that I would have never thought of.

Here is a set of turn signals I did for my 350z about 4 years ago. I plan on incorporating this into the front and rear turns along with one-off conversions for each. I would love to have a "tail light-off" or something or other. {thumbup} Post up pictures of your work!

I just finished the gauges. Chris you're going to sh!t your pants. Seriously.

On the steering wheel now.

My better LED work is on my Ranger(s).

I did the entire dash of my daily driver with amber LEDs.

90 in the cluster, 39 in the hvac, 18 in the radio, 1 in the headlight switch.

I retrofitted OEM Joule Osram L1224R LEDs into the tails, they came out sickly bright.

I'm building new tail lights for all 3 vehicles next, but I have some back up camera fabrication work to do first.
